Not yet confirmedThese are shown with a “Not confirmed” tag. Check them on the official notification before relying on them.
NoteAll figures above were read directly from LIC's official "Recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officers (AAO) Generalist-32nd Batch" notification PDF (licindia.in/documents/d/guest/aao-generalist-notification-2025-final), fetched and read in full — vacancy split, schedule, age/qualification, pay, fee structure, exam pattern and every document specification above are taken straight from that document, not from secondary/coaching sources. Two things worth flagging: (1) as of 3 Sep 2026, LIC had not yet released an AAO notification for 2026, so this (32nd Batch, notified 16 Aug 2025) is the most recent COMPLETED cycle, now well past its application/exam/interview stages. (2) LIC structured 2025's AAO/AE hiring as three simultaneous but legally separate notifications (Generalist / Specialist / Assistant Engineer) sharing common administrative machinery — the oft-quoted "841 vacancies" figure is the sum of all three; this entry's vacancy count, pay and eligibility fields describe the Generalist notification only, since that is the one whose full text was verified here.

FAQs

Does LIC AAO have negative marking like IBPS/SBI exams?

No — for Generalist posts, LIC AAO has no negative marking in either Prelims or Mains, which is a key difference from most other bank/insurance exams; Specialist posts reportedly do have negative marking in Prelims.

Are Prelims English Language marks counted toward the merit list?

No, the English Language section in Prelims is qualifying only — you must clear a minimum cutoff, but the marks themselves aren't added to your merit score.

What does the Mains Descriptive Test in LIC AAO cover?

It's a qualifying-only writing test (essay/letter-type); exact marks and duration vary by notification cycle and weren't confirmed with precision for 2026 in the sources checked.

Is LIC AAO Generalist post pattern the same as Specialist posts?

No — Specialist posts (e.g., IT, CA, Actuarial) reportedly have negative marking in Prelims where Generalist posts do not; syllabus emphasis also differs by specialization.
