FAQs

Are Prelims marks used in the final RBI Assistant merit list?

No — RBI Assistant Prelims is purely qualifying for shortlisting to Mains; only Mains marks (plus the qualifying Language Test) count toward final selection.

Why is the GST added to the RBI Assistant application fee?

RBI charges the base fee (Rs. 450 or Rs. 50) plus 18% GST as a statutory tax component, so the actual amount paid is slightly higher than the base figure.

Is there a Computer Knowledge section in Prelims?

No, Computer Knowledge and General Awareness are added only in Mains; Prelims covers just English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning.

Does RBI Assistant recruitment include an interview?

No, selection is based on Prelims + Mains + a qualifying Language Proficiency Test; there is no personal interview.
