Split PDF

Extract the pages you need from a longer PDF into a new, smaller file.

🔒 Files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to GovBabu servers.

How to use

  1. Click the upload box and choose a PDF. The page count appears once it has loaded.
  2. Enter the first and last page of the range you want to keep.
  3. Click “Split & download”.

What to expect

  • Each file can be up to 15 MB.
  • One continuous range of pages is extracted per run. To get several separate ranges, run the tool again.
  • The result is rebuilt from page images, so text inside the original PDF will not be selectable or searchable.
  • This tool loads the open-source pdf.js reader from a public CDN the first time it is used; that fetches the reader code, not your file.

Common questions

Can I extract pages that are not next to each other?

Each run extracts one continuous range. For separate pages, run the tool more than once, then join the results with Merge PDF.

What happens if I enter the pages the wrong way round?

The two numbers are swapped for you, and values outside the document are brought back to its first and last page.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. Your file is processed by your browser; only the pdf.js reader code is downloaded.
